Florida Wildlife Corridor "Safe Passage" Original Watercolor Painting

Introducing for the first time ever on the Wild Planet Creations website, "Safe Passage" featuring a black bear using a highway underpass that is part of a network of interconnected wilderness and corridors (known as the Florida Wildlife Corridor). Samantha created this painting to showcase an excellent solution for wildlife facing unavoidable and dangerous highways in a densely populated and rapidly developing state. The American black bear was the inspiration behind highway wilderness underpasses, so it was selected as the subject for this painting. In the background across the underpass, you can also see a pair of Florida's beloved sandhill cranes.

This painting is 9" x 12" in size and comes matted as well as framed. Samantha hand-selected the mat board and frame to really make this painting stand out. The hanging hooks are already installed to make decorating your home with this piece a breeze.

It took a full week for Samantha to complete this incredibly meaningful painting. She focused heavily on the perspective of the painting to make sure the underpass looks 3-dimensional, as if the bear were truly attempting to walk through it. She also thought about the glow of sunlight on the other end of the underpass, and how warm and inviting she wanted it to look. Samantha primarily used Winsor and Newton professional series watercolor tube paints on cold press, acid free, 300 gsm  Blick watercolor paper. She hand signed the front of the painting as well as the back (which she also dated with the year this painting was created - 2024). 

Samantha is more than happy to hand deliver this painting right to your front door! (as long as you reside within 100 miles of her art studio location). Otherwise, she will ensure pristine delivery via a custom made and well-insulated ULINE box. The painting will also come with a hand signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity with gold detailing and placed in a high-quality certificate folder.

Any watermarks on the photographs used in this listing are purely to ensure that someone (or AI) does not steal the artwork illegally. The watermarks do not exist on the actual painting. Also, the resolution of the photos used in this listing is much lower than the actual painting! In other words, the painting's details are crisp and vivid compared to some of the photographs here (Shopify doesn't allow image files above a certain size).
